Snow-balling...

Starting May 27th our life snow-balled out of control....First of all we finished our last day of med school!! The three day celebration leading up to graduation started after that! We had a great time at a graduation party for Seastone followed by a final performance by Phineas Gage at the Fox and Hound and a late night of hanging out with very AMAZING friends from LECOM.

Dave became a Air Force Captain on Saturday. It was a very proud moment...he was pinned by his wife:)

Sunday...GRADUATION. It was truly bitter sweet- it felt good to be done, but it also meant the separation from many great friends, and the beginning of dum dum dum....INTERNSHIP!!

But first we were headed off to Mexico for our honeymoon. It was beautiful and perfect. Most days were spent at one of three places:
1. The pool
2. The beach
3. The bar

On the final day, we decided that we needed to change it up so we signed up for an excursion. We biked to the Mayan temples, we even climbed one. Dave made it to the top, but for me well lets just say I didn't want to make my next home on top of the temple, so I stayed back and took some nice pics! As if that weren't scary enough, we headed to the next adventure- repelling down a cliff into the JUNGLE, then zip-lining through the jungle...what a rush! The final two adventures of the day were my (Tina) least favorite. Kayaking through a lagoon with crocodiles...hmm fun? And finally, the swim... this wasn't the average swim, to get to the water you had to climb down into a CAVE, a dark cave. The cave was beautiful, but the thought of what might be in the water gave me (Tina again) chills. Dave of course loved it!

Next on the agenda was our move to St. Louis...this was a two day event that we thought would never get done! Our new place is so cozy and perfect. The new furniture (see previous blog) looks great. We are in the decorating phase now, and realizing there are like 50 pictures of our wedding in the living room alone- maybe a little over kill! haha.

We are hoping that this move away from our families and friends will help us grow closer as a couple, having only the two of us to rely on for support. We have however, met some very nice people already!
And so the new adventure as husband, wife, and doctors begins....

Furniture Shopping

Being that it is Memorial Day Weekend, we decided to truly celebrate...so we hit up the FURNITURE SALES! We went to John V. Schultz (not sure if he is related to Arthur F. Schultz, the other furniture store in Erie?) for their huge home sale, to just "look around." That store is seriously overwhelming, we started off trying out the couches, but after awhile our abs were sore from all the sitting and standing so much haha- never thought that would happen! We then moved on to the dining sets, and then when we were really tired we checked out the mattresses....at the end of the 5 HOUR expedition we ended up with a new:
- Couch
- Oversized chair
- Ottoman
- Kitchen table- pub style
- Six chairs
- Buffet table
- Queen Mattress
- Boxspring
We are very anxious to move out to Belleville, IL (a city east of St. Louis), especially now that we have all this awesome furniture!! The hardest part of the situation will be moving away from our families:( However we hope that it allows us to grow closer and begin some new traditions of our own.

The rest of the weekend will include going to Buffalo, NY to visit with Julie, then her and Dave are running the HALF MARATHON Sunday morning! GOOD LUCK:)

OUR NEW PLACE!!

A Wedding to Remember

So...the year and a half of planning turned out one of the best party weekends we have ever been a part of. The weekend started on Friday with a day at the spa for the ladies and a day on the links for the guys. The dress rehersal was sort of an uncontrolled gaggle in which the priest kept assuming we all knew what we were going to do, and when. I don't really think anyone really knew what would happen for the wedding day. Dinner and drinks afterward were amazing with a lovely slide show put on by Tina's sister Steph. The Chief decided that it was open mic night, and took it upon himself to provide the comic relief, luckily it didn't last too long. Melissa tried to make all of us cry....thanks a lot! Saturday started early with the girls doing makeup and hair while the guys got together for a little golf scramble. The wedding went off without a hitch on a beautiful May day. The wedding party looked amazing. Pics were even better. It was so meaningful to have our best friends and relatives there to support us. The saber arch was awesome, and Tina has the butt bruise to prove it. Now for the best part ---> the PARTY. If you didn't like Michael Jackson before, I think you probably have a whole new respect for him now. Kevin Bereda was quoted as saying, "If you didn't have fun at that party, it was your own damn fault." We want to thank everyone there and those who were in spirit for making our day unforgettable. More blogs to come.
